Favorite Korean Leading Men (Part One)

After much confusion and difficulty of making a choice between quite a handful of Korean leading men I've seen through a lot of drama series I've seen through the years, I've decided to divide my list to serveral entries, posted in the next few days.

So without anymore further delay and in no particular order, here's my my first batch of choices for my Favorite Korean leading men.

Bae Yong Joon ( 배용준 )
August 29, 1972

He is the first Korean actor that actually got me hooked into the Korean Drama Wave! The very first drama I saw was Winter Sonata. I couldn't help falling for his character, Kang Joon Sang / Lee Min Hyung. I cried buckets watching the show and eversince then, I saw some his other dramas which I also have in my Boxed Sets collection together with Winter Sonata, like Hotelier, Did We Really Love? and the most recent, the Legend of the Four Gods.

Kwon Sang Woo ( 권상우 )
August 5, 1976

I first saw him in the drama, Stairway To Heaven with actress Choi Ji Woo (same lead actress in Winter Sonata.) I received a lot of recommendations from fellow K-Drama Fans for Stairway To Heaven and it was on my "Wanted To See List" for quite a while. I have to admit, I bought the set from Yesasia.com because it was on sale at the time. I was then still so much into the drama, The Palace (Goong) so I didn't see Stairway To Heaven until quite sometime later. But it had been worth it, seeing Kwon Sang Woo as Cha Song-Ju was like falling in love all over again since Bae Yong Joon. I saw him also in the series, Bad Love and the next drama to see on my list after Boys Over Flowers, is Cinderella Man, which he is the main lead, still ongoing in Korea right now.

Jo Hyun Jae ( 조현재 )
May 9, 1980

I first saw him, in the series, Only You, the episodes of which I just downloaded off the net through D-Addicts. Only You is one of my all time favorite K-Drama series of all time because of this guy, I saw a couple more of his other series, like Loveletter, (where he played a young man named Lee Woo Jin, who wanted to become a priest. But it became a bit complicated, when his bestfriend, who's a girl, Cho Eun Ha falls in love with him.) and he was funny and adorable in the last series, he appeared in, 3 Dads One Mom, with Korean Actress, Eugene Kim.

To Be Continued....

EXCESS : My Alone In Love DVD set arrived today. And it seems interesting to see based, on the what I've read about it through the drama descriptions and it has 2 extra discs of bonus features which would be nice to watch after I've seen the series of course!

Today is also my mom's birthday. My sister (who had a day-off today) took us out to eat for lunch at the Soup Plantation to celebrate. It's a shame that my dad wasn't with us because he was all alone to tend the Student Store. His assistant Lupe was sick and he can't even step out of the store to eat lunch with us.
