I wasn't able to make a post yesterday due to an unexpected phone call from Oli that lasted about a little after midnight. (Yes, over 4 hours!) My cell was practically smokin' after we decided to hang up but hey, we haven't seen each other for years till just recently so I guess, we really had a lot to catch on.
Back then, of all of us, (Bunny, Me, Oli and Sam) Oli and I were close to each other as Bunny and Sam were. (We geeks stick together! LOL) Even though Oli and I were sort of complete opposites when it comes to almost everything! I was talkative, he's quiet. I'm often outgoing and curious of a lot of things while he's shy and I wouldn't know if he's interested in something unless he tells me.
But we did like the same ol' "geeky interests" like reading, computers, video games and watching basketball. And I admit, when we first met, I did most of the talk because he wouldn't talk or open up unless asked didn't have a choice but to answer! And here's a funny thing, I remember, Age wise, he's only 30 days older than me, (November 17) but when I try or jokingly call him "Kuya" (a filipino endearment for older brother.) he'd often wrinkle his nose like it stinks! LOL!
We talked of a lot of different things some of which we already talked a bit about the party but last night we talked about in great detail. He wanted to visit here at home and finally meet my Mom. (He didn't get the chance to meet my mom them because she was still in Manila back then and when my Mom finally came here, his family already moved out to Sacramento CA.) He told his parents about meeting us girls again since all of our families used to be close friends and neighbors and they were happy, probably as much as when I told my Dad about seeing him again after all these years!
4 hours of reminiscing flew by with a hitch --- mostly it was really nice that I didn't mind that my ear hurt after. I hope he didn't mind losing 4 hours he would have used for sleeping! He swore it was ok, since he didn't have a scheduled shift for the next day!
