Ok, so it's been a while since I cried over watching a Korean drama and although I felt silly for doing it, I just couldn't help myself because I'm such a sucker for ironic/tragic stuff portrayed in dramas.
(For first part of Love or Money, go here.)
I was watching Episode 33 of Did We Really Love? and I totally felt so sorry for the male lead character, Jae-Ho as he makes the drastic decision to let go of the only woman he ever loved and pursue his long time ambition/desire to get married to someone who's rich. I burst into tears (I am such a softie! LOL!) as Jae-Ho and Shin-Hyung finally meet after he avoided seeing her or even talking to her on the phone for a few days.
COLD. that's my perfect description of Jae-Ho, when he told Shin-Hyung that he didn't want to see her anymore and that he never really loved her to begin with! (I was already bawling when he said it right at Shin-Hyung's face.) I can't believe he could be this cruel considering they (Jae-Ho & Shin-Hyung) really worked hard just to be able to get Shin-Hyung's parents' blessing for them to get married. And were totally inseparable a week before Jae-Ho lost his job and then his Aunt's house and Bar (his aunt runs a bar.) that had been used as collateral for a loan his aunt and best friend made with a loan shark.
And as if that wasn't enough, Jae-Ho even came to see Shin-Hyung's dad to tell him that he broke up with Shin-Hyung because they weren't rich enough to sustain his ambition to be rich! (the nerve!) Somehow I knew, it had been Jae-Ho's intention to get Shin-Hyung and her family angry at him to make it easier for her (Shin-Hyung) to get over him.
But as we all know, KARMA has a way of catching up on you and that seems to be the case with Jae-Ho, because at the night of his engagement party with Hyun-Soo, he felt dizzy and then his eyesight got blurry in some instances. I don't know yet what's supposed to be wrong with Jae-Ho, but I got a feeling it's going to be one of those terminal illnesses like cancer or something else that is more or less gonna leave him totally helpless. He could probably go blind too (dizzy and getting blurred vision)
I'm pretty sure he isn't going to be happy with Hyun-Soo...I hope he backs out from marrying her before it's too late for him and Shin-Hyung.
