Just Married....

I had an hour to kill last night before a friend returned my call for a chat. So my main goal for the night was OPERATION: GET HITCHED! (No! not me! Silly! If ever a person can get married alone then maybe I will but for now there are 0% chances of that happening! LOL!) I now have no objections whatsoever for them to finally tie the knot. (Don't I sound like a strict parent? Well. Max is my baby! LOL! ... after Celestyne and her family disappeared. (SIGH) )

(Click on pictures for bigger versions.)

Popping the big question :
Mitch came prepared with a ring and he came down in one knee.
(Max looked like the typical surprised girlfriend.)

I did a bit of planning since I want a wedding party complete with food, drink and guests! My first sim couple, Nathaniel and Celestyne didn't have that much of a wedding because I made the mistake of choosing a private wedding instead of a having a wedding party. So I was really looking forward to it. But to my disappointment, having a wedding party wasn't that much either. I called Sim Services to arrange for a wedding party and invited every single friend Maxine and Mitch have. Even clothes for the wedding were close to nothing, as in they will have to use of the most formal attire they had and no veil. So I had to do quite a bit of Mix N' Match in Create-A-Sim to make it at least look like Mitch and Max are in a wedding couple attire. (I hope EA will have a least one wedding dress in one of its future expansion packs.)

The Groom
(Mitch is looking great in his white and blue suit! I'm sure Max will approve)

The Bride
(It isn't as grand as I would have wanted it. No long veil. No trailing dress.
so I guess this will have to do.)

For the wedding party, I chose to have it at the Gazebo, it's like a tiny park with a big gazebo in the middle. It is equipped with tables and chairs all around and even barbecue grills in case guests wanted barbecue aside from the buffet table I've set up.If you're expecting a wedding ceremony, there is none. the ceremony itself will be the simple exchange of rings/vows as seen at a private wedding, the only difference is that they'll be married with their friends present.

"Wear this ring as a sign of my love and loyalty..."

"For richer... for poorer... for sickness and health...
TIL DEATH DO US PART..."

"You may now kiss the bride..."

... AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER...

Next up : PROJECT BABY!

Newlyweds Mr. & Mrs. Mitch Porter
