Crying Over My Ji-Hoo...

Don't tell me... I know it's silly. But I couldn't help bawling while watching the second to the last episode of Boys Over Flowers. This series is just one of the many Korean dramas I actually cried over. I'm definitely buying a set once an North American version come out. (The Korean Limited Edition is out on preorder but my wallet won't be able to take it, I'll have to wait a while for prices to slightly go down in case there won't be a North American version coming out in the future.) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a YA Entertainment release.

Anyway, back to BOF and Ji-Hoo... as I expected, Ji-Hoo is the first one to find Jan-Di after she runs away from everyone, not telling where she's going or when she's coming back.

Ji-Hoo was reading when he saw his "wedding couple contest" pictures with Jan-Di, kept in between pages of his book. He even imagined Jan-Di , sleeping in a chair, practically beside him, just to disappear into thin air seconds later. He set the book down with a sigh and turned on the TV. Right in front of the screen was a report shot on a fishing port and on the background, selling fish, was none other than Geum Jan-Di!

He went to the port after trying to tell Gu Jun Pyo Jan-Di's whereabouts. And it's at the port Ji-Hoo finally tells Jan-Di of his feelings for her. He even gave her the ring his grandfather gave him that was a memento of his mother, but Jan-Di declined. (I was bawling at this scene at lot more than when Jun Pyo had an accident and was diagnosed after with selective amnesia!) I was like thinking Ji-Hoo had kept his feelings for Jan-Di for quite a while (as Ji-Hoo said in the scene "I don't know when it started, but now I can't live without you anymore..." or that's more or less the gist of what he said.) and Jan-Di puts him down just like that!

But I can't blame Jan-Di either, she was just being true to what she felt and Ji-Hoo, being like her next bestfriend next Ga Eul, she wouldn't want to hurt "her fireman" even more by leading him on.
As much as I've wanted Jan-Di to accept what Ji-Hoo offers her, It was for the better that she didn't, because if she did accept, she would just be fooling herself and Ji-Hoo as well.

POOR JI-HOO...

Letting go of Jan-Di for Gu Jun Pyo will hurt a lot more now that he (Ji-Hoo) was actually the reason why Gu Jun Pyo had an accident that caused him to have selective amnesia. Jun Pyo saved him from getting hit by a car as he was leaving the port.

ONE MORE EPISODE ...
AND IT'S ALL OVER.
