I apologize for being out for the last couple of days. I'm still recovering from "sleep deprivation" since weekend from sleeping-over with friends. (yeah, it's a sleep-over... but sleeping was literally impossible with my friends.) Anyway, it was fun, even though we spent most of the night talking instead of sleeping.
Anyway, during the sleep-over questions regarding my "sleeping habits" came up when I was scrutinized by my friends and I was officially tagged as "pillow head".... because I always have a pillow over my head every time I sleep. (and it isn't because of keeping the lights out.)
Well, because of getting teased of being a "pillow head", I had to tell them the story behind it.
When I was about 5 or 6 years old, a house fly literally got into one of my ears while I was sleeping and it hurt a lot of course! My Uncle June (my dad's youngest brother) had to blow smoke (he used cigarette smoke) into my ear until the house fly died and then picked out using a hairpin. Since then, I never slept without a pillow over my head (even here in the US, where flies are almost non-existent or not really tolerated as much as it is in the Philippines.)
And now, it's a "bad habit" I can't easily get rid of...
I guess I'll be a "pillow head" for life...
