Surprise, Surprise Indeed!

First of all I would like to apologize for not being able to post up an update as fast as this practically came off the presses yesterday as I came home "TOO EARLY FOR THE NEXT DAY" (around 2 AM or so.) and dead tired, I actually first intended to sleep at Sam's place but I promised my dad I would get home no matter how late because we both know I would hear an earful and A LOT MORE from my mom regardless of who the people I'm with -- best friends, friends or what not. The thing is I HAVE TO get home before she wakes up and better if I'm already asleep before mom's usual wake time of 4 AM. (LOL!) Anyway, I have my own set of house keys and getting in wouldn't be a problem, even if my light sleeper Dad wakes up, just don't wake up my mom.

So as most of you have read in my last post, I rested up for the whole day last Saturday so I had the "energy" for the a simple friends get-together (probably just because I wasn't able to attend the other one at the karaoke bar) and have "guts" to face up to their "surprise" whatever it was.

They know me by nature as a person who never liked surprises so as a rule, they never really tell me about it until I'm already there at the venue. So this "surprise" I had to really bust a couple of fingernails calling friends and fishing out the info and everybody was totally tight-lipped that got me literally turning my brain upside down thinking what it could be!

Bunny picked me up here at Sunday at lunchtime, which I did find a bit odd at first because the meeting time at Koji was supposed to be at 5pm. She said, she had to make sure I would be "presentable" (Hey, Bunny, does that mean I look like the "Wicked Witch of the East from Wizard of Oz most of the time???!!!) Anyway, knowing Bunny, she wanted to see me more in dresses and slacks rather than my usual faded and knees-slashed up jeans and casual long sleeved shirts. She raided my closet and took out a few of what she thought was appropriate and scooted me out to her car and off to her place.

I had a bad feeling about the dresses and other stuff she took out of my closet. I never had to dress up in anything fancy for any of our usual hang-outs... why now? I had this thought about them setting me up somebody again but Bunny pinky-swore that the surprise was nowhere near a blind date. But then she said. "Wouldn't it be nice to be extra pretty sometimes?" and she had those innocent eyes looking at me like she was being an angel! (How can I NOT trust a friend like that huh? note the sarcasm please...)

Anyway, at around 2 pm, Bunny, had my now shoulder length hair curled so it made me look I had short hair in big curls (curling iron stuff) She also did my make up, but I had to erase it because I wanted a simple and natural look with just simple face powder, eyeliner and lipstick.
We bickered a bit about what I should wear because I wanted to wear a black and gray knitted halter top and black pinstripe slacks since I wanted to "walk" instead of using my wheelchair and she thought a classic black spaghetti strap above the knee length dress would be better matched with my wedge sandals and drop the idea of "walking" and just use the wheelchair
for easier mingling..

AND THE CLASSIC BLACK DRESS WON OVER CHIC HALTER TOP AND PINSTRIPE SLACKS!

PART 2 TOMORROW!
