Hapi Bertdey!

I just got home from attending a friend's birthday party tonight. Now, what's with the misspelled "Happy Birthday" header? Well, that's the exact spelling of the birthday banner at the party! (LOL!) That is just so "pinoy" ! (slang word for Filipino) Majority of the guests are pinoys but still other people might get the wrong impression of pinoys when it comes to spelling right. But then again, the celebrant explained the misspelled banner was intended to amuse and get a laugh out the guests (it sure worked!)

I got there with my trio of best friends and a tag-along around 6:30-7:00 pm and had a blast! We saw our other friends as well and met others too! Among the new acquaintances I've met, there's this guy who I got introduced to, who will remain nameless for the sake of his privacy, we'll just call him by the name of "Jr. T. "

My first impression of him was like "WOW. He resembles a cross between Hugh Jackman and a rugged Orlando Bloom!" (No, I wasn't too intoxicated with liquor yet to just imagine the Hugh-Orlando resemblance, actually even Sam and Bunny noticed it too!)

Sam was like telling me after a couple of shots of tequila already went around, (in pinoy slang word, we call that "tagay" it's where a shot glass literally "goes around" to practically anybody at a party and whoever the host stops to, the person has to drink a shot of whatever liquor available.) "Tin, ang pogi no?! Gulat nga ako eh ng biglang nagtagalog!" (He's cute huh? I'm was surprised when he suddenly spoke Tagalog!)

As it turns out, the guy stayed in Manila for two years as an exchange student, no wonder he knew casual conversational Tagalog. But it sure felt weird seeing him talk my native language! Imagine "Orlando Bloom" or "Hugh Jackman" do that!

Anyway, I drank quite a bit, no thanks to the "tagay" going around in circles! (Don't ask me how many rounds I had to chug down cause I don't remember but after two cups of strong coffee, I'm almost back to my normal cheery self. I actually consider myself lucky than my 2 other friends, the barfed on the way home! (Don't worry, we had a designated driver who really doesn't drink.)

:: MORE ::

I just finished watching season one of She-Ra last night and He-Man is all set on my DVD player. Too bad, I'll be staying at my sister's again tomorrow till Tuesday evening.
