My friends barged in here early this evening to drag me into going out, which I thought wasn't all that bad since it's been weeks since the the last time we got to talk. (either by phone, online or in person) They all know that my relatives were here for a visit that coincided with my sister's big party. But what they really didn't expect was for me to be literally out of reach because my phone wasn't with me. I lent my cell to my Uncle and his family so that they won't have to dial long distance using their own cell. (They are from Canada after all)
For 10 days, I was "phoneless" and now that they have returned home, I'm still "phoneless" because my cousin made the mistake of taking home my cellphone charger. (Yeah my lucky cell phone charger went all the way to Montreal Quebec, Canada) up to now, I'm still waiting for my charger to get back here. Anyway, enough about my cell phone predicament, let's get back to my friends treating me out ok?
We dined at Megan's Grill nearby and just hang out. There were 7 of us, my three best girlfriends and their respective boyfriends. We saw another mutual friend there with her new boyfriend and insisted that they join us at our table, and they did. We talked while waiting for our orders, so banter and small talk went around. Our friend's new boyfriend appeared to be the flirty kind and quite the conversationalist. he didn't seem to mind that the girls' boyfriends were around that he could still carry a flirty conversation with us girls and even tried to sort of hit on me at one point! He even called me "Sweet cakes!" for crying out loud! I wonder how can our friend tolerate a boyfriend like that! I'm sure she knows her boyfriend is shamelessly flirting with her friends (that would be us...)
Okay, I am not about to get into the gorry details. But to make the long story short, his flirty behavior got the other guys all worked up that we had to leave in the middle of eating, or else Sam's boyfriend would have made a punching bag out of our friend's boyfriend's face.
We left and just went for some Coldstone Ice Cream to cool off. But I admit, the couple remained the main topic of our conversation at the ice cream parlor. I, myself am still a bit miffed at the fact that my simple meeting with my bestfriends got ruined just because of a guy who thinks he's "ALL THAT" but the truth is he's just a brainless, pompous jerk who needs to get dumped bigtime anytime soon, to get some air out of that over-inflated ego of his!
BLAH!!! SWEET CAKES MY FOOT!!!
