A Very Quiet 4th Of July...

It was a very uneventful 4th of July for me and my family this year. My sister wanted to invite us out for lunch today but Dad declined. But it wasn't all that bad, since I had the chance to finally treat my Mom to an afternoon (until early evening I guess.) of Boys Over Flowers (the tagalog dubbed version I downloaded over the net and burned into DVDs) that she said she sometimes hears about at TFC TV shows that she doesn't get to see because tagalog dubbed Koreanovelas rarely get shown on TFC.

As of 7:45 pm tonight, we only saw up to episode 9 of the series. (The first disc of BOF I burned has 23 episodes and I still have up to Episode 39 on my hard drive.) We might watch some episodes again in the afternoon because there's nothing good on to watch. I'm not sure if we will be able to the rest of whats left on the first disc today but at least I know Mom's liking it so far.

Meanwhile, Dad's been busy with his "latest project" ( You know my Dad, the frustrated carpenter.) and didn't come in until later, but was still able to see the last 2 episodes we saw and appeared to have enjoyed it as well, but of course as expected he kept on asking questions regarding who's who and what's going on with this and that.

My sister contacted me earlier regarding updates for the site I made for a a few months ago and was able to finish up before Mom and I started our BOF Marathon. She called tonight and we talked about it on the phone. She also said she'll be baking tomorrow. (I bet we'll have some of whatever she's making! YUM!)

On to my Sim update, fot today, I played both Max and Mitch's household and I finally got Max on to the peak of her career and now she's a Hit Movie Composer! But I still have to get her painting skills up to level 10 so that she could fulfill her Lifetime Wish of becoming "Master of the Arts"

Max's been inviting Mitch a lot to her house lately (and even out around the neighborhood and just hang out together. ) but so far, Max is still behaving herself because they never got inside the bedroom yet (at least I haven't seen either Max nor Mitch have the "make love in bed icon" in their daily wants / wishes panels) but I did see them "make out" once in a while but that was it.

Okay, why did I just say that Max is still "behaving" herself? Well, because she gives "lethal kisses" that would get any sim guy to fall in love with her because of her"Great Kisser" trait.

After the success of her latest hit, Max got a hefty paycheck which
gave me the chance to repaint her house with some change to spare.

I actually thought about getting her a better house since she got the bucks to dish out but I decided to hold on to the thought and save it for later, when she gets married to either Jon or Mitch or whoever guy she kisses next! So a paint job and maybe some remodeling would be good enough for now.

Max's kitchen deserves renovation the most, since she is a pretty good
cook now. I also got her a dishwasher and the basic microwave and coffee/cappuccino
machine (you can't see in the pic, its shadowed by the refrigerator)

I'll be posting Mitch's progress on my next post later, since I still have to sort out the other screenshots I took during game play and make them BLOG PRESENTABLE (*WINK*)
