Sorry I've been pretty busy with a lot of odds and ends the last few days. As you all know, I came home to Carson last Friday, (Good Friday) and did my recordings most of the day till almost evening. (I wasn't able to finish the whole lot of recordings for last week but I think that' s alright because I can just play catch up when I finally get to go back home with my Mom and Dad, who's supposedly coming back from vacation this coming Friday night. I have to empty out my DVR quickly because I think I finally convinced Dad to change our DirectTV Package to HD. We'll be cutting down on the channels but at least we'll be ready for the upcoming DTV Transition this coming June (?) There's this promo on the DirectTV site about a free HD DVR but I'm not sure if the promo is for New Customers only. I guess we will still have to inquire about it after Dad comes back. The only thing I'm sure of is that the satellite and equipment (my DVR and the other 2 standard receiver boxes in the house are going to be replaced with different ones to HD compatible ones.
We ate out today at a Korean Restaurant (?) especializing in Tofu, Cho Dang Tofu in Hawthorne where in we had Korean Barbecue and different kinds of tofu soup. Cris (my sister's housemate) and I shared the beef flovored tofu soup while my sister ordered the mushroom one. Our orders came with the regular side orders with included kimchee (which I loved) and other kinds of side salads like bean sprouts soaked in sweet vinegar, there's another that probably made the same way as the kimchee because they are both reddish in color and spicy except that the second one is zucchinni rather than chinese cabbage like the traditional kimchee is made usually made of. And there's another vinegar soaked green leafy salad which I didn't know the name of but it tasted good as well and there a handful of terrinori seaweed sheets too. Too bad, the restaurant only specializes in tofu... I would have like to taste "Mandu" (dumplings) and "Tteokbokki" (Stir Fried Rice Cakes) most of the Korean Dramas I have seen mentioned and shown those and I would love to taste them someday.
We also went to St. Philomena Church for the 9:15 am Easter Mass. It was jam packed with people and I barely had a chair to sit in upfront but other than that it was good to finally attend mass where I usually go to with my parents. Father Nico Leota celebrated the mass.
QUICK NOTE: I fell down today as I was coming in here (my sister's house) It was so embarassing my right foot just went stiff and fell asleep. (SIGH)
